How to lubricate the chain? Common chain lubrication methods.

There are usually four lubrication methods for chain and sprocket systems:

1. Manually use oil cans or oil brushes to supply oil regularly;

2. Dripping oil lubrication, use an oil cup to drip oil through the oil pipe to the gap between the inner and outer link plates of the loose edge;

3. For oil bath lubrication or splash lubrication, a sealed transmission box is used. The former chain and sprocket wheel are partially immersed in the oil, and the latter uses a larger-diameter splashing oil pan;

4. Oil pump pressure oil for lubrication. Use the oil pump to continuously supply oil to the chain through the oil pipe. The circulating oil can play the role of lubrication and cooling.

The kinematic viscosity of the lubricating oil used in chain drives is about 20~40 mm2/s at operating temperature. Only where the speed is very slow and oil supply cannot be replaced by grease.
